On the main three acre site in Cookstown Buchanan Wire boasts 10,000 square meters
of manufacturing space, with a further 5,000 square meters of internal storage
space. The company is continuously expanding, and expects to convert further
external storage space during 2004.
BWM has replaced Automated Welded Mesh, which had been servicing the British and Irish markets since from the Cookstown site since 1986, and is therefore able to capitalize upon a wealth of employee and director experience. Moreover it is also able to boast completely new, state-of-the-art production equipment, which was only installed during the autumn of 2002 through 2003. This new advanced and durable equipment allows the company to produce a family of flat and pressed mesh products, which are subsequently utilized in a variety of process within the Construction, Security and Engineering sectors. The company has filled a large void in the marketplace and is producing a quality product at competitive prices. Buchanan Wire Mesh Limited holds a significant stock of finished product enabling a fast turn-around from order to dispatch, without sacrificing the product quality.
